Support & Events
There is no simple blueprint to becoming and living as an adoptive family. For this reason, adoptive families need the advice, support and kinship of other families who are on, or who have taken, a similar journey. Our members don't just seek our assistance at the beginning of their adoption journey but come back as the need arises. Our membership and staff are made up of adoptive families and waiting parents of every type. They are a willing and rich source of support to pre-and post adoptive families. AFABC provides one-to-one support and advice, support groups for pre-and post adoptive families, educational workshops, family events, adoption awareness activities and fundraising events.
